ADHD Support in Totnes.

As an experienced and fully qualified ADHD counsellor based in Totnes, Devon (South West), I provide support for those in and outside of education who might be struggling with their daily lives, activities, workload and time management. I currently work with an organisation that supports students at universities as their mentor. I help support them in different ways so that they can achieve their goals.

01

ADHD - Abbreviation of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, also called ADHD, is a long-term condition that affects millions of people. It often continues into adulthood. ADHD includes a mix of ongoing problems. These can include having a hard time paying attention, being hyperactive and being impulsive.

02

Procrastination

It is a common human experience involving delays in everyday chores or even putting off tasks such as attending an appointment, submitting a job report or academic assignment, or broaching a stressful issue with a partner. It is often perceived as a negative trait due to its hindering effect on one's productivity, associated with depression, low self-esteem, guilt, and feelings of inadequacy.

Time Management

Time management is the process of consciously planning and controlling time spent on specific tasks to increase how efficient you are. You may be familiar with setting deadlines, writing to-do lists, and giving yourself small rewards for accomplishing certain activities.

Motivating ourselves is a core part of time management and it takes a bit of effort not only to motivate yourself but to cultivate good habits to work and live more efficiently. To develop good routines and habits, you can start by knowing what strategies and best practices are out there. That is where I come in to help you find these strategies to help you break reoccurring patterns.

Emotional Regulation

Emotions are integral to the human experience, shaping our reactions, decisions, and overall wellbeing.

Emotional regulation refers to the ability to influence which emotions we feel, when we feel them, and how we express or experience them.
